Sean J. Jordan was born in Biloxi, MI following Hurricane Frederick – an omen that he hopes will have some bearing on his writing career. Sean was raised as an MiB (Military Brat) before his family settled in Illinois, where he endured the majority of his schooling, including college at the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana studying journalism. He currently writes and edits for comic book publisher Dabel Brothers Production (DB Pro) adapting Dragonlance: The Legend of Huma, Raymond E. Feist’s Riftwar Saga, Tad Williams’s The Burning Man and writing the original books Imperial Dragons, Legacy: Ancients of Anensar, Devil’s Keeper and Minus World. Sean has been a writer for the bulk of his life; in the first grade, he wrote his first book for a Young Author’s competition. His third grade story, “The UFO From Another Galaxy,” won him the opportunity to attend the annual Young Author’s workshop and to meet with children’s author Nancy McArthur (“The Plant That Ate Dirty Socks”), who took an immediate interest in Sean’s enthusiasm and told him she was sure he’d become a great writer someday. “I’m still crossing my fingers,” Sean says today with a grin.
