... and I am a Babylon 5 addict.
There are a few shows that I love enough that I sometimes can't resist certain pieces of collectibles and memorabilia. B5 is probably second or third on that list.
Just my luck, I happened to find several rare B5 items that I haven't seen for sale or available in some time, seemingly all at the same time: the UK-only initial issues of the B5 magazine (Vol. 2 had 24 issues that were easily available in US book and comic shops, but Vol. 1 had 9 issues that were never available in the US); and a rare series compilation blooper reel (some 80+ minutes of B5 outtakes).
Yeah, I snagged them all.
Now all I need is the MicroMachines set #4, and a trip to Vegas to ask Penn and Teller to sign the bound script of "Day of the Dead", right next to the autograph of Neil Gaiman's that's already there, and I think I'll be good for a while.
But there's also that Harlan Ellison autograph card that was in one of the last B5 trading card sets, but those pop up enough that I think I can get one anytime.
And I also want to find a larger model of the station than the pewter one I've got... but I haven't seen the one I want in about 5 years, and now I'm not even sure if that was anything more than a set prop that someone absconded with back in the day (meaning there aren't a whole lot of them to be obtained).
Now that the series is on dvd, I still haven't figured out what to do with my laserdisc copies of the episodes that were released (WB in their infinite wisdom released all of Seasons 1 and 5, the first half of both Seasons 2 and 4, and none of Season 3. Someday I'd love to hear the marketing rationale behind that move).
And did I mention that I'd really love to have JMS sign my copies of the B5 and Crusade writer's bibles? Okay, that's on my list, too.
Yeah, I know.

Hee! I think the funniest part is rediscovering how much B5 stuff I actually had. I thought I was lacking in goodies until I went around pulling things out of shelves and file drawers to start packing up.
I have a Crusade cast photo signed by everyone except Gary Cole (who wasn't at that particular convention with everyone else). I really should get that thing framed one of these days.
I'm...
not worthy.
I may not have collected B5 stuff (I have mostly star wars stuff) but I watched every episode of B5. It's truly an awesome series. Planning to get the DVD's.
