Avar Press is sponsoring two Literary Essay Scholarship competitions. College deadline is Feb. 28, 2007; high school deadline is May 15, 2007. Essays must be original work, analyzing any aspect of Xen by D.J. Solomon. Use of the essay as part of the writer's school work in any capacity is permitted. Submissions must be 1250-1500 words. Cash prizes of $300-$500 will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners of each competition.
