<description>This is a quick read in the fourth book of his series. It builds on and continues the previous three books. Each chapter in the book is written from the point of view of one of the characters which allows the reader to really get in their heads.

It is gripping and easy to read and ends in such a way that the reader will be waiting anxiously once again for the next book, A Dance of Dragons. Although in my opinion it is not the best of the books in the series, it is definately very good and very much necessary for the climax of the series yet to come.

George R.R. Martin masterfully weaves an intricate web of plots and scandals in a world where magic is coming back to life and the fate of the world hangs in the balance.
