You mentioned that eventualy some big names will get into podcasting. I'm not sure how big you think him but Dean Koontz did a podcast this past summer. Stephen King is doing something along the lines of a podcasted novel with ITUNES ofcourse he wants money for it. Penn Jillette of Penn and Teller podcasts his radio show. Even Dee Snider of Twisted Sister and now Van Helsings Curse is doing a weekly podcast called Dee Speaks.

Actually, after listening to the interview, I have to say that the story was not what I thought.

Scott, as you can tell from my comment above, I had thought the story was a mash up of assassin/sports story. That's what I got from the promo that I heard. The way you described it in the episode made a lot more sense and sounded more interesting.

Now that I think about it, a funny assassin-turned-sports-star story might be good. I wish I had the talent to write it.

"Avigo eyed his opponent across the court. He could identify fifteen different ways to kill him where he stood. Suddenly the ball dropped down in front of Avigo and catlike reflexes took over. Avigo's hand shot out and thrust through the ball, exploding it. Doh! He'd lost another penalty point."

See, now that's bad writing! :)

Mike & Evo & Summer - thanks again for giving me this juicy promo. You all rule.

Barry, all I can say is try the first episode and see what you think. It's a different concept, that's true - some writers want to do more than re-hash vampires, vampire hunters and quests for magic chalices and what-not. I'm trying to make something original and push the boundaries. Won't work for everyone, but hopefully you'll give it a chance.

SUMMER? HAMMY FROM OVER THE HEDGE? Argh!

Well, for those of us that don't like listening to audio books: I really, really hope that Scott gets a book deal so I can read the dead-tree versions of his stories.

I'm sorry, but when I heard the promo for this on Farpoint Media productions, I thought it was a piece of comedy. The plot just really doesn't sound good at all. "He was trained as an assassin. But he just wants to be a quarterback." The rest of the promo did nothing to change my initial opinion. I was rather disappointed when I learned that it was Scott's new story.

Well, I'm sure I'll learn a lot more details once I get around to listening to this episode. Maybe it was just a bad promo for the story and doesn't really reflect the plot.

I don't generally like listening to stuff, as it takes far longer than reading it, but this is funky enough to tempt me. Great idea.
