I'm currently reading this, and so far it's built on Recursion's universe quite admirably. I found Recursion fairly standard in some ways, but written with an eerie style that I thought worked really well, and Capacity seems intent on continuing that.
I'm also reading James Barclay's A Shout For The Dead (Book 2 of the Estorea series) and C J Cherryh's Cyteen.
Anyway, I like the new style, and it's good to hear about how these great books make it into the light of day (and it makes you wonder how many good stories don't see the light of day).
