The Secret World So, am I the last one to find out that Mercedes Lackey was collaborating on producing a serialized original fiction podcast?

The Secret World: A Chronicle of Mystery and Heroism, created by Mercedes Lackey and Steve Libbey.

I tell ya, I really gotta get out more. There are probably another dozen podcasts that I’d enjoy listening to.

Oh wait… I have time to do that when?

Quoting from the website:

Emerging mysteriously during World War II, metahumans became icons of the best — and worst — humanity had to offer. Yet sixty years later, the world still suffers from war, greed and madness. Worse, man’s nadir of systematic cruelty returns with bizarre new weapons. The metahumans of Earth must find a way to defeat this powerful foe and discover what lurks behind the scenes — a secret world hidden from our own.

Mercedes Lackey, one of fantasy’s most beloved voices, and new talent Steve Libbey bring you a podcast series that catapults the classic superhero into the 21st century.

Interestingly enough, the show has been out since mid-September, and it doesn’t have any reviews at the iTunes store yet.

I’ve been collecting the episodes but not listening to them. I assume it’s good. ;)

Dang it Summer, filling up my Ipod with yet more stuff!!! Thanks, I’m usually not a big fan of the ‘Super’ thing, but well have listened to episodes 1-15 today at work and am pleased so far.

Thanks for pointing this out Summer. I have listened to the first 21 eps so far and I love it – surprising really, as like BigMack, I don’t usually like the ‘Super’ thing.

The line “Guten tag, you bastards” in Ep 10 made me laugh of loud.

Pity that book one is coming to an end. Hope it won’t be too long before the next part comes out.
