With Class #26: Podcasting and Education

With Class
Posted by Summer Brooks on Tuesday, 18 Sep 2007

Dragon*Con

Lorrie participated on a “Podcasting and Education” panel at Dragon*Con 2007, along with:

* Michael A. Stackpole: SF/F author, podcaster (”The Secrets”, “Cover to Cover”, “Fortress Draconis”)
* Dr Pamela Gay: co-host of “The Astronomy Cast” podcast
* Oreta Tayler: elementary school librarian

They discuss how technology may or may not be efficiently and effectively used in the classroom, and how podcasting might be able to be one more tool to be used to supplement classroom tools.

Listen ask they talk about ways that podcasting in classrooms can be used to enhance the teacher’s toolbox, instead of replacing any existing tools.
