We’ve been working to correct the file problems that have caused some issues with iTunes hanging up and it seems to only happen in version 7.4, and not in 7.3 (but everyone usually upgrades iTunes, so that’s only a few people).
These problems should be fixed now… if not, please let me know.
update: You will have to unsubscribe to the feed, delete the bad file if it did in fact complete downloading, then resubscribe.

I’ve got version 7.4.3.1 and it keeps locking up then I try to download ‘Word Sluts’.

Unsubbed and resubbed, then was able to download some but not all of the episodes. Episodes 279A and 281A downloaded okay, but iTunes locked up on everything in between.
