Show Notes: Interview with Jason Eberl

Voicemail: Trucker Overdrive wants to kick off Black History Month by finding out who some Black scifi authors are, and the list begins with Octavia Butler, Samuel R. Delany, Steven Barnes, Nalo Hopkinson, and more links can be found from the old Black to the Future Black Science Fiction Festival (from 2004), and many other places on the web.

Submitting Listener comments: If you have any suggestions or comments, please let us know! “Cover to Cover” has it’s own call-in line, 206-350-READ! That’s 206-350-7323, or just email Michael with a comment you’ve recorded yourself!

Interview: Jason Eberl, editor of Battlestar Galactica and Philosophy, joins us to talk about this new collection and some of the topics and issues explored by the contributors, actual philosophers and students of philosophy who were also either huge fans of the show, or curious about the depths.

Can studying Galactica draw people into studying philosophy and into a deeper examination of the human (and Cylon) condition? Check out the book!

The Library: Good stuff this week! Jumper and Jumper: Griffin’s Story by Steven Gould; In A Time of Treason by David Keck; Madhouse by Rob Thurman; Wild Cards: Inside Straight by George R. R. Martin; Tangled Webs by Anne Bishop; V: The Second Generation by Kenneth Johnson.

Don’t forget, you can also comment on books listed in The Library… look through the listings and feel free to post your thoughts and comments there.
