Books
Posted by Summer Brooks on Wednesday, 12 Mar 2008

Renowned theoretical physicist Dr. Michio Kaku has a new book out, one that appeals to those of us who love to argue about whether or not some of our favorite scifi gadgets and gizmos could actually exist or even work the way we’ve seen them portrayed in film or read about them in stories.

PHYSICS OF THE IMPOSSIBLE: A Scientific Exploration Into The World of Phasers, Force Fields, Teleportation, And Time Travel is available in hardcover March 11, 2008, and Dr Kaku will be on a book tour!

* Tuesday, 3/18: NYC Academy for Arts & Sciences
* Thursday, 3/20: Washington DC — Smithsonian
* Friday, 3/21: Philadelphia — Franklin Institute
* Wednesday, 3/26: Seattle — Pacific Science Center
* Thursday, 3/27: Los Angeles — Cal Tech
* Friday, 3/28 and Saturday, 3/29: San Francisco — Exploratorium
* Wednesday, 4/30: Boston — Cambridge Science Festival / Museum of Science
* Friday, 5/2: NYC Open Center
* Monday, 6/2: NYC Hayden Planetarium

And while he won’t be visiting the Phoenix area, he will be our guest on Slice of SciFi this week, so head on over and check it out this weekend.
