But Ember’s once powerful generator is failing… and the great lamps that illuminate the city are starting to flicker. Is it just me, or does this look an awful lot like the first Fallout game? I hope the producers vetted this thing, because the visuals look like a direct lift, right down to the font on the scrap of paper those kids are carrying around.

This is horrible!! its nothing like the book! Half the people in the city don’t even believe that the storage is running out, and the mayor doesn’t care!! thats how its supposed to be!

I love the books, and while it looks like it may not be very accurate to the book, I am still excited to see what they are going to do with it.

My name is Amber and I am an official ambassador for City of Ember. I have access to first-look pics of the movie not seen in the trailer (located on MySpace), and i’d love you to take a peak at them! I could also really use your help in spreading the word about COE and get lots of buzz going!

Don’t forget to check out the widget we have too. It’s pretty interactive and shows you where all the other City of Ember fans are around the world!

Again, I hope I’m not over-stepping and bounds by posting on your blog.

    Best,
    Amber Baynor
