But when it comes to space opera, this is a fine example, a real non-stop page turner. What really makes it stand out for me is the attention to detail in the battle scenes – the technology is believable, detailed enough to be interesting and cool without being boring, while the trickery the crew of the Lynx must use to survive in a hopelessly one-sided battle is amazing.

I hope we see more of this kind of thing from Scott.

its almost shame that the uglies/pretties books have sold so well, he might never return to this again. I dont have anything against them…but i wish he would tell more stories in this setting.
