It is still in private beta, but the more folks who are serious about cataloging and sharing their books, the better. I created Verbivorous.com as a website that lets you add books to virtual shelves, share your passion about books with others, and even sell, trade, or lend your books with friends. Moreover, it has a feature that lets you use your webcam as an ISBN scanner so you can add books in bulk. My favorite feature is a side-effect of being able to log in using my Palm Centro smartphone from anywhere, like a bookstore, and adding a book to my wishlist, or confirming the names of books I own while strolling the aisles. Regarding evil clown books: Besides "It" by Stephen King, I can think of "The Pilo Family Circus" by Will Elliott. It won several Australian awards and I think that Underland Press picked it up for North American distribution. It's already out in Europe (UK, Germany,...). Greetings from Vienna Hiho!
