I personally think everyone should buy an iPad. I'd love one, but we're still waiting to see what the UK price tag is over here -- Apple's offerings are usually more expensive in the UK. I think submitting writing-relating questions is a good idea -- I may well come up with something soon. As for readings -- how about reading some flash fiction?
