NaNoWriMo 2011: Tales from the Desks

Last night, as midnight swept across the globe, hundreds of thousands of writers put down their pens, sat back from their keyboards, and put one more 30-day power writing journey behind them.

Are you a NaNoWriMo 2011 participant, or winner? Or were you a casual observer or writing buddy support system this year?

Share your tale of story discovery here!

  1. I gave NaNoWriMo a shot this year. While I was not a 'winner' I still made major headway (+25k words) on turning some of the ideas that had been bouncing around in my head into story that may someday actually be good enough to let others read 😉

I found the month to be enjoyable from the standpoint of the camaraderie that exists between those who are participating or supporting the writers.

Before I hit a wall, with about a week and a half to go, I experienced many of the things you hear about from writers; the words just flowing, a bit of block, the story taking an unexpected turn...

I'm still working on the stories that developed during the month, and I plan on doing it again next year with a bit more preparation.

I think the experience was worth it!

  2. Rather than rehash, I hope you don't mind if I share my post:
