World Book Day 2012: Brandy Grandberg

Several years ago I stumbled upon a book called Outlander written by Diana Gabaldon.  After receiving it in the mail, I gave the cover a quick glance over, and threw it aside.  I had no idea the tiny bit of treasure I had held in my hands.  After reading the first book, I was fully addicted to Diana's intriguing storyline and characters.  Time travel, something I thought would never interest a girl like me, fully captured my attention.  Disappointed that I had flown through the book and the story had came to an end, I was ecstatic to find it was part of a series that Diana continues to presently write.  A little bit of romance, combined with Scotland and traveling through time, were exactly what I needed to be inspired to write my own stories.

Spending my days busy as a stay-at-home mother, somehow I manage to find a little peace and free time to read and write.  Having published my first book, The Laird of Loch Fyne, I currently am working on a second book, which remains untitled.
