Contest: "Acacia" Giveaway

"Cover to Cover" is proud to host another signed copy giveaway!

David Anthony Durham's debut fantasy novel, Acacia, is being heralded as a marvelous epic fantasy series opener, and the publisher is allowing us to hold a contest to award signed copies to 5 lucky winners.

David is also an award-winning author of historical fiction, and a recent Library Journal review stated: "Historical fiction writer Durham (Pride of Carthage) successfully turns to epic fantasy in a series opener that combines the moral ambiguity and brutality of George R.R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire with Guy Gavriel Kay's emotional sweep and Ursula K. Le Guin's ethnic diversity."

He's also going to be an upcoming guest on the show, and we think you'll enjoy that as well.

Send an email with your name and mailing address, and be sure to include "Acacia Contest" in the subject line. Entries close at midnight, July 9 2007, and contestants anywhere in the world are welcome to enter.

David Anthony Durham is a most important author of the new century. His works are important (and entertaining) reads on a number of different levels. For me, I particularly love Mr. Durham's prose and his exhaustive research a close second. Mr. Durham's arrow soared right out of the gate with the publication of Gabriel's Story and is still climbing ever higher today. It is a pleasure that I now learn that Prof. Durham will be mentoring and inspiring our next generation of writers.

I am glad that I happened upon the Dragon Page website and was able, as a result, to catch up with what Prof. Durham has been doing the last few years.
