Brian Brown: Contributor
Brian Brown was shanghaied.
One would think it would be with rum, loose women and the promise of booty. No, he was lured with the promise of books to read, a place to use his yet undiscovered vocal talents and a place to geek out when he wanted. Brian is a longtime friend to Summer Brooks and it was her sultry voice that lured him into a meeting with Michael “NEVER FORGET THE R.” Mennenga.
Little did Brian know that the beer he was offered was spiked with some sort of addictive chemical. Soon enough, Brian realized it was futile to try and run because he’d just be back soon enough, so he has thrown his lot in with this scurvy band and eargerly participates in their nefarious plans.
On a side note — Brian has been reading sci-fi and fantasy since he discovered Ray Bradbury in the 4th Grade. He is an avid reader, gamer, music aficionado, hacker, thespian, and a general geek all wrapped in a big ball of contradictions.
Lorrie Mennenga: Contributor
I’ve been a teacher of special education for 7 1/2 years. I currently work for Deer Valley Unified school District teaching language arts and mathematics to 7th and 8th grade special education students. Although there are moments I feel like I’m a million years old, for the most part, they keep me young and laughing every day.
My husband Michael and I have been together for nearly 18 years (married for 16 of those years). We opted out of having children, but opened our home to 11 foster kids over the years. We still keep our doors open, and our floor space available to friends and family. Mike and I have two pets, an Amazon parrot, and a spoiled cat (who firmly believes she is an only child). I’d like to add a dog to the family, but neither of us is too interested in the poop-scooping chore that goes along with the dog.
I jealously guard any downtime I have, and bury myself in books. Reading is my passion, and I’m happiest with a book that won’t let me quit until I’ve finished it. I love that I have the opportunity to interview some pretty amazing authors, which suits me just fine– that just means more books!

She is an avid reader and writer of scifi, fantasy and thrillers with a handful of publishing credits to her name. Next on her agenda is writing an urban fantasy tale, and a B-movie creature feature.
