Crime novelist Robert B. Parker, best known for his “Spenser” novels, died Monday morning at his Cambridge home, at the age of 77.
While he wasn’t a fan of the “Spenser: For Hire” TV series inspired by his novels, another character of his, Jesse Stone, has been a moderate success as TV movie adaptations starring Tom Selleck in the lead role. A new Jesse Stone novel is due out next month.
