Cover to Cover #143: L. E. Modesitt, Jr / Michael Pederson

December 7, 2004 by Michael R. Mennenga

Ordermaster by L. E. Modesitt, JrInterview: We’re happy to welcome back L. E. Modesitt, Jr. (we call him Lee) as he talks about Ordermaster, his 13th title in the “Saga of Recluse” series. We say “series” loosely, as it’s not necessary to read the other 12 stories to enjoy this one. And speaking of accessibility, Lee writes complete stories, with working politics, economics and other systems of support which underline the world. You know… complete!

Interview Michael Pederson is the brain behind “Nth Degree – the Fiction and Fandom ‘Zine” (nthzine.com). They’ve been publishing for three years now, focusing on new fiction and news from the fandom world (as you might gather from the title.) If you’ve attended a con recently, you might have seen the ‘zine, as that’s their primary method of distribution. And yes, they are looking for submissions!
